Cat versus dog
Dogs and cats differ not only in terms of character, but also in terms of nutrition, the cat is definitely not a small dog. Compared to dogs, cats have some unique characteristics that mean they cannot be fed the same food as dogs. For instance, a cat needs some nutrients only found in animal material, such as taurine, vitamin A and arachidonic acid. In addition, a cat has a significantly higher protein requirement than a dog. From playful kitten to active senior
For both the growing and adult cat, a tasty and balanced diet is very important. The Energique fresh meat meals for cats have been especially developed to meet your cat's natural nutritional needs, and are suitable for both growing kittens and adult cats. It's easy to start with the raw meat meal right from weaning.
Composition
Our meals are carefully formulated with a balanced calcium-phosphorus ratio for strong bones and joints. Thanks to high-quality meat sources, your cat gets a tasty meal in keeping with its carnivorous nature. Sufficient fibre supports healthy bowel function and easy bowel movements, while rapeseed and sunflower oils provide essential fatty acids for healthy skin and coat. In addition, our raw meat meals contain over 60% moisture, which helps to support your cat's fluid balance and kidney function, especially as cats naturally drink little.
Something for every taste
Cats can be very fussy in their food choices. Foods they have been introduced to as kittens are usually well accepted, but new flavours and textures, especially in older cats, can sometimes lead to the cat not wanting to eat, or wanting to eat less.
The meals are available in 400g bags, fitted with 25g rounds. This makes it easy to remove the daily portion from the bag and you don't have to defrost large quantities in the fridge at once. Very convenient!
Switching your cat to our meals
Switching to a different food can sometimes be a challenge. Are you going to feed your cat one of our Energique meals, but he or she hasn't had it before? Make sure to switch gradually, and mix the old and new food for several days to allow the cat to get used to the new taste and texture. When feeding fresh meat, it is always important that the food is not offered too cold, but at least at room temperature.
