Tailored advice for feeding your dog is crucial. The recommendations on the packaging may not be specific enough for your dog's situation, especially if she is pregnant or nursing puppies. That’s why Energique has developed this calculator. This tool allows you to determine the exact amount of food needed for your pregnant or nursing dog. We consider the number of weeks of pregnancy or lactation and the number of puppies she is nursing.
Note!
The amount of food provided by this calculator should be used as a starting point. We recommend closely monitoring the condition of the dam. If she maintains a healthy weight, no adjustments are needed. If she becomes noticeably thinner, you should increase her intake by 10%. If the mother dog has difficulty eating the suggested amount, it's advisable to divide the food into several smaller meals throughout the day. If she still struggles to eat enough, consider switching to a food with a higher energy content.
